Kate Taylor

Helping leaders do their best work — at the office, and at home.

I have spent my career coaching executives and running manager development programmes for some of the world’s biggest tech companies. Alongside that, my husband and I founded ExamHero.ie, a study platform for teenagers — and, most recently, I became a published author.

At home, I’m mum to Felix and Hugo and stepmum to Rhys. Originally from the UK, we’ve since made our home in Ireland, which is where my first book, The Double Shift, was written. It publishes in June 2027.

About the book

Welcome to the double shift

At the office, you manage multi-million-pound budgets, handle market complexity, and keep a room of demanding stakeholders perfectly aligned. At home, you are currently being outgunned by a three-year-old who refuses to wear trousers.

Too many high-performing corporate parents believe they have to gear-shift between two completely different worlds, leaving their executive identity in the office. The result? We deploy all our strategic thinking, patience, and empathy at our desks, leaving only a desperate, reactive survival instinct for our families.

You don’t need an MBA to run a successful household. You just need to stop leaving your best leadership tools at the office.

In The Double Shift, leadership development specialist Kate Taylor reveals that your professional toolkit is actually the missing piece to your domestic chaos. Drawing on a decade of executive coaching and years spent stress-testing frameworks in the toddler trenches, Kate demonstrates how sophisticated business models, from Radical Candor to the Trust Equation, can be seamlessly adapted to shift the mental load, manage the human side of family crises, and build a highly functional team at home.

About Kate

The same skills, in two very different rooms

Kate Taylor is a learning and development specialist who has spent over a decade coaching executives and designing leadership programmes for organisations that take their people seriously.

Her work sits where behavioural science meets the messy reality of everyday leadership: how people actually make decisions under pressure, how trust is built and broken, and how the best frameworks quietly fall apart the moment life gets loud.

She is also a co-founder of a study platform for teenagers, helping young people learn in a way that fits how they actually think.
